Jordan, Texas, and Jordan, Tennessee set record for most snowfall on one day of the year
JORDAN, Texas — Jordan, Texas and Jordan and Tennessee have set records for most days of the season with a total of 478,945 snowfall.
The snowfall totals from the region in December, January and February were the most ever recorded.
The National Weather Service said that snowfall was expected in the Dakotas on Saturday and Sunday.
The Dakotan National Forest said that temperatures should be in the upper 80s.
The agency said that rainfall totals are expected in both areas.
The weather service said the snow totals could cause travel problems in the region.
The storms could also disrupt water supply systems in the area, the agency said.
The storm system is expected to affect more than 10,000 square miles (26,000 sq km) of the Dakotic National Forest, which is located in the south of the state.
