The average price of a new vehicle in the United States is $41,000, according to the Edmunds auto-related website.
A $400,000 Toyota Camry with a manual transmission and an electric drivetrain can be had for $37,200.
But some bargains can get you more than that, particularly for the new Nissan Versa and Honda Accord.
The Nissan Versapro is the most expensive car on the list at $37.7 million, followed by the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Ford Escape.
The Honda Accord and Mitsubishis are both $25,400.
The Ford Escape is at $22,400, and the Lexus RX450h is at just under $20,000.
The Lexus is priced as a hybrid, meaning it has a gasoline engine and electric motor.
The Accord has a hybrid engine, and is available with a plug-in hybrid engine as well.
